Hi again,
Duh!
It finally occurred to me to look in the Help section... and there was the answer I needed:-
Place the cursor where you want to add the ANSI character, open the Clip Library and DOUBLE click on the desired ANSI character.
So simple!

ANSI Charactes covering text
Hi,
If I open a .txt file in TextPad 8.4.0 and then open the ANSI Characters, the latter appears over the text. So that if I want to add one of the ANSI characters to the text, I cannot.
This was not the case in TextPad 4.7 which I used before upgrading to 8.4.0.
Is there some way to prevent this ...

Still unable to use my own macros in TextPad 7.

One more point (Perhaps I should start a new Subject?): I have copied over the USERS folder from v.4.7 to my new installation of v.7.4 but no macros appear under the menu item 'Macros'.
Does v.7.4 use a different method of storing/using macros?
Is there a way of using my macros in v.7.4 - or do I ...

Number of recent files on File menu
I am finding that 'Number of recent files on File menu' setting is not sticking from one opening of TextPad to another. In fact, NO recent files are appearing at all!
Is there some way of correcting this?
