Sorry, I forgot to search the forums before posting this. I've just found that the issue is already covered in the following post:

You could add a field to the bottom of the Find in Files dialog and display the currently searched file there.
The problem with that is that the dialog box can be closed while the search is running, to make it easier to get on with other things.

As a paid customer since about v3, I upgraded to Textpad 7 recently, and today just upgraded to the most recent, v7.0.7.

The issue that I have is a difference between v7 and previous versions. Previously, in the "Find in files..." command, as Textpad was searching through the files it would ...

Do your search first, then right click the results and choose "Open All", and then do your search and replace with Scope set to "All documents".

This has worked well for me for year. Only have had problems if there have been hundreds of files to change as they all need to be open at the same time ...

I have noticed this behaviour too and have managed to work out steps to reproduce it each time.

1. Create a new document as follows:
