This request is SIX years old.
I am not sure who sees it. It is a problem for everyone and is a very
simple enhancement.

Does anyone address the problem with doing this ?

When editing in the middle of a page, I would like to scroll the line that the cursor is on to the top (or bottom) of the screen. I want to be able to compare two files by going back and forth with Ctrl+Tab and have the text in the same relative position. Now I have to move the cursor down the page ...

Any word ?

I am very interested in having this feature.
I often Copy text from a webpage and then Paste the text
into TextPad.

I do a Reformat and each line extends to the width of my
screen (131). I want the longest line to be 72 characters.

Also, when I print I do not want the lines to wrap.

At the bottom of the screen in the Status area the number of lines
selected is displayed and changes as more lines are selected.

I would like to see as part of the display, the length of the characters
selected. I would like to see it in decimal and in hex.

I tried an number of things but could not beat it.

I reinstalled and started a new workspace.
It has been working fine since.

It would need to be a very light color so as to not be distracting.
Maybe a change in font, italics, etc..

Could the "changed" indicator be placed at the front of the file name in the Document Selector instead of the end of the file name ? On long file names, the '*' is not seen without moving the mouse over it. If it was on the LEFT, all changed files would appear slightly indented and the '*'...
