Re: I second that!

It's this request that I came here to suggest. I have 47 documents open and I searched for a word in all docs. It reported that 7 occurences were found. OK ... so where are they?! In former versions of text pad someone could navigate through the open documents by pressing the <find next> button ...

Yes, this works.

I would need something like 'ask every ... minutes' or a button for the entry 'reload last version'. It is too much work to click into the File-Menu entry. However there is no symbol for this in the file symbol table.

Question: 'do you want to reload ?' a million times

I have opened a file into Textpad 4.7.2, to which another program is continuously writing. Now I get the dialogbox: "An application has changed the file <filename>. Do you want to reload?" It does not matter what I click. I get this dialog box always again. So I have to kill the textpad process with ...

This functionality has actually been available for many years. It's a little known feature of TextPad called "perl". In fact, it's become so popular that it's only available as a separate download from the main GUI version of TextPad (go to http://perl.org to check it out). And also, due to its ...

There is no such thing as an ANSI value. Give it the name you like. In Textpad in the standard installation I have listed those characters from 33-255 and they are under the headline 'ANSI Characters'. It does not matter to me, if Textpad wants to rename this in 'ASCII Characters', if it is really ...

ANSI Character table with hex code

Could you extend the ANSI and other character tables that they show also the hexadecimal value? This would be even a help to simple convert decimal byte values into hexadecimal ones.

extend textpad for use as a multifunctional tool

I would like to use some functions of textpad in other programs like TortoiseCVS . The only thing I need would be some command line paramters for textpad, so I could misuse it as a tool to compare two files and store the result in another file. :P  This would extend textpad to be a ...

search open files and move cursor

I have some files open and want to search a word in all open files using "Search for" - "all open documents". It finds the word 4 times. I click the button: "mark all" and "find next" However "find next" does not do anything. I have to go through all documents manually! :x
