Window command - Order of listing files

Post by daveo132000 »

I've been using TextPad for years, and recently updated to the latest version for a new PC.

Am I wrong, but in older versions, was not the order of multiple files open in the Window command static, but now, it seems the active one is always ordered at the top?

I often work in 4 or 5 documents, cutting and pasting between them, to maintain web pages, and I find this new (?) behaviour quite confusing. I look for the (formerly) 3rd file down, which has morphed into a different order, which then slows down the process.

I occasionally use the 'Document Selector' window, but I don't like the loss of an inch on the side of the screen, and I don't usually have that many docs open that they don't fit in the Window list.

Ideally i'd like to keep the order of open files constant, and be able to select them when I wish. Does anyone have comments?
