Document Class of a New File & Resetting the SYN Files

Can anyone please tell me...

1. What document class is used when I click File => New ?
2. Where can I get a copy of the original syn files now that I've messed them up?

1. text.syn seems to be the default

2. Try reinstalling TextPad?
