My C: drive became scrambled. Tech support for my laptop manufacturer erased my only full backup.
I am rebuilding my computer one program at a time after I reloaded Windows from their backup CD. I reinstalled Textpad 4.7.3 from my original download file. I copied the files in Documents and Settings/myname/Application Data/TextPad from another backup into the same folder on my C: drive. TextPad doesn't see my macros. It doesn't know about the new document classes I created. Most, but not all, of the .TXT files still show the Notepad icon.
I have TextPad installed on a desktop computer. Can I copy the program and all of the settings to my laptop?
You've got my sympathy. IT support here recently reset my Windows profile which cleared by TextPad settings from the registry. If I'd been more awake at the time I would have exported the settings first but am just having to set things up as I go along.
