Post by mike.stathopoulos »

something happened to my textpad setup that i cant figure out how to undo.

now when i open any file that has a backslash (\) it appears as the yen sign (Â¥...U0085).

I tried changing fonts but to no avail.

Open the control panel and then choose the "Regional and Language options". The name might vary depending of your Windows version, but there should be an icon that is named "Regional"....somthing. Check all the settings to see if something is changed. There should be a setting that says something like "Language for non-unicode programs" and i believe this is changed for some reason.

that solution does not work in WIN 10 PRO, which is the first time this has ever happened to me and using TextPad since Ver 2.0 ... and loving it!

still not found a way to make the ^Q,I stick in Win 10 PRO either ... any success in these two matters is Greatly Appreciated
