Textpad 5.03: Context menu link very slow for >1 files

Hi all,

a few weeks ago I put Windows Vista on my computer. I didnt use textpad very much on this machine in the last weeks, but I'm quite sure that the behaviour mentioned in the thread's title is only since a few days. All the years running textpad under windows xp I never encountered this problem, btw.

The problem: When I select multiple (small) textfiles (html, php, ...) in the windows explorer, then do a right click and select "Textpad", textpad loads about 20 seconds for each file.

I looked in the FAQ and this forum and found out, that this may be caused by this DDE thing. But I cannot find a possiblilty on windows vista to disable the use of DDE. The step-by-step-guides in this forum concern only windows xp.

Then I found the DDE-message fix, but it didnt work either (the file seems pretty small (8 KB) in comparison to the original ShellExt32 of Textpad 5 (60KB))

Any ideas how to solve the problem?

Edit: When I load the files by drag n drop the problem does NOT occur. Also using the "open"-dialog of textpad works fine.

I just reinstalled textpad without setting any file associations. Now it works. Strange
