Paste Block is missing from the Edit menu

Post by andyrey »

The Paste Block command is not in the edit menu. If I assign it to a keyboard shortcut, and use it, it does nothing. It does not make any difference if I am in Block mode or not.

Copy in block mode works OK.

What do I need to do to enable Paste Block?

Turn off word wrap: Configure | Word Wrap.

Word Wrap is turned off. I do not mean the the Pate Block command is grayed out. It is not in the menu at all.

You said

Do you mean that that was, in fact, not the case?

You can't add commands to most of TextPad's menus. But, if you have assigned a keyboard shortcut to this command, you can define and save a macro that executes it. It will then appear on the Macros menu.

There is no 'Paste as Block' in the edit menu Image

Assigning the Edit PasteBlock command to a key does work, provided I remember to click on Assign after I enter the key combination  .

Paste as Block is found on the Insert sub menu of the Edit menu.
