Problems with "Restore Down" on Textpad window

Post by dmje »

I've been using TP for a while with no problems but the other day I started not being able to run it other than as a full-screen window. When I double click the title bar or click the "restore down" button, TP collapses (kind of Mac-style) to just the title bar, no content window visible.

See http://www.imagehosting.com/show.php/13 ... s.jpg.html

I have uninstalled and re-installed and no good. It could be coincidence but this started happening after latest Firefox update (to 2.0.0.9).

Anyone else having this problem?[/url]

Please try deleting the file config.xml, which you will find at the following location, and then try starting up TextPad. Exit from TextPad before deleting the file.

C:\Documents and Settings\User name\Application Data\Helios\TextPad\5.0

I hope this helps.

Please try renaming or deleting the following Key in the Registry:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Helios\TextPad 5\Window Placement

Make sure all instances of TextPad are closed before renaming the key.
