right click is not working

If I right click on a text file, the context menu gives you option to open it with textpad. When I do that, the explorer widow freezes on me. On the contrary if I right clikc on a file--->Send to-->Textpad it works.

I am not sure what is going on. I tried reinstalling textpad with "repair" option but in vain. Any pointers?

If TextPad is slow to open files using the "TextPad" command on Explorer's context menu, another application is blocking DDE messages. In order to avoid this, please see the utility called DDE Messages on our Add-ons web page:

This is a bit old now - will it work with Windows 7?
