Problem with Document Classes

Post by Roddyrf »

I have just gotten TextPad 4.7.2 and tried to set up a new document class for files with a "for" extension. For this file type the information in "Document Class", "Associated Files", and "File Name Filters" appears to be OK. However, whenever I open a file with a "for" extension TextPad uses the settings in the "Default" document class and ignors the settings in the "Fortran" documant class. While this is probably a forrest and the trees problem I have not been able to find the correct tree to solve the problem. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

Check through the list of document classes from bottom to your new document class:
is your extension used in any other document class?

Another idea: have you put "for" or "*.for" in the list of files in that document class?

Thanks. "*.for" works a lot better.
