Is it possible to change the views of visible space etc.?

The View of white space, tabs and CR
are too small for me (space dot is really
too small, CR is too thin) and want to
change the size.

The size cannot be changed by the font
configuration.

It's nice, if one can also modify the
color and figures of visible spaces
or one can use the 'defualt fonts' for
'white spaces'.
