How do I find & replace within a specified range?

A client has provided me with a delimited file…the record length is 131…it is delimited by semicolons…however, there are semicolons within some of the actual fields…so, I would like to find & replace “;� within positions 1-25…is this possible?

Use Block Select Mode to select.
Then tick "Selected text" in the Replace dialog.
Then I open up and see
the person fumbling here is me
a different way to be
