Maximise windows

I have done something stupid to my copy of textPad and I can't seem to fix it.

Every time I open a new file or load an existing file the windows are opening in a 'cascading' style rather than in the full window format that they used to do. I have to click the 'maximise' windows control button every time I start work on a new file - very annoying!

I have struck this problem with IE before and tried the same fix - opening a new window, open another and re-size it by dragging, close the first window, close the second (re-sized) window - but without success.

Does anyone know how to fix this problem?

It sounds like Windows Cascade is set.

Try this to reset it:

Open Textpad
Close all documents
Open a single new empty document which will be in cascade view
Maximixe that file's window
Close the file without saving it.
Close TextPad.
Open TextPad.
Open a single new empty document which should now be maximized.
