How do I use TextPad to globally edit files on my website.

How do I edit multiple html files at one time on my host.
I have a web site of about 30 pages, I want to do a global edit
on all pages instead of one by one. I'm using WS_FTP LE and
the ftp client is set to edit w/texpad. I choose several files to edit
all in one instance of TextPad. And do a replace on all docs ect...I'm doing
what would work for mult. files if they were local on my HD.

But it doesn't work, seems like textpad wants to save them a new
text files in temp folder..it's very confusing. How do I use TextPad to globally edit files on my website?
