ALT + TAB on Windows XP

I am using TextPad on Windows XP Pro. I cannot use ALT + TAB to switch between TextPad and other applications. TextPad simply hangs in the foreground.
any ideas?

Have you activated

"Stay on top of other windows"

under Configure/Preferences/View ?

I have had the same problem with XP. When you Alt-Tab the screen doesn't always redraw.
