DOS Window

Post by Virginia Wilber »

My operating system is WIndows 98. Therefore, my DOS window is essentially not resizable and does not contain scroll bars. Is there any way I can capture and view the error messages before they scroll off the screen when executing a java application?

Someone told me I could use pfe32 to do this (using the 4th button from the right), but it only gives me the same unsizable DOS window.

BTW -- I really do like TextPad. It is great software!! I use it at home and at work (2 licenses).

I suppose you launch your java application from TextPad. Go to Configure --> Preferences --> Tools --> Run Java Application, check "Capture Output" and launch your program again. This time there will be no DOS-window, and the output from your program will appear in TextPad.

Brilliant or what?
