I started textpad today and the area where the text is typed on the screen is not visible in upper 1/3 of the area. What you see in this area is the program that was previously viewed. This is kind of hard to explain. Here is a link to a picture of textpad problem. You can see Internet Explorer underneath. It looks like you can drag the area back up, but you can not. Please help

Re: viewing area not visible in top 1/3 of screen
What hardware are you using? What Windows(tm) 'flavour'?
Surely, you have already tried a reboot?
Do you have any tool to check the registry (TuneUp97 or the like)?
If all else fails try to deinstall Textpad, reboot, reinstall, reboot?
That's the 'hard' way, I know - but we're dealing with Windows after all...
Now, the last idea I have: There might be a problem with the video card and/or graphcs driver (although I don't really think that's the reason).
Hope that helped.

Re: viewing area not visible in top 1/3 of screen
Thank you for help.
I am using Windows 98.
I have tried rebooting the computer (we are talking about Windows).
Now i have tried uninstalling, rebooting and installing (did not work either).
I will now find something to check registry, do not think that I currently have anything.
Not sure it is graphics card, all other programs seem to work just fine.

We had this before. Search the archive.
IIRC you have to delete some registry keys and then the problem will disappear.
