Line numbers disappear with split view

Hi,
Is there a way to keep line numbers visible when I use the horizontal splitter bar so that I can see two areas of a document at the same time?

Line numbers in both lefthand panes for me - righthand panes do not have line numbers...
But as the panes scroll synchronously, I do not really need line numbers in the righthand panes (I nearly never have a vertical split bar anyway).
Also, the current line number is displayed in the status bar at all times...

TextPad 4.6 did not correct the problem of the line numbers disappearing with an up/down split.

Andreas was splitting left/right. I am splitting up/down. I do not see the problem with a left/right split (that is, the left window has numbers, the right does not, but the two are syncronized, so it matters not).

The original poster did not say how he was splitting.

Ed, how are you splitting, up/down or left/right?
