syntax determination via the UNIX way ( #! )

Can TextPad use the pound-bang line to tell what syntax definition file to use?
ie: the first line of the file, for instance:
#! /bin/perl

I move a lot of files between unix and windows and adding the .pl .awk , etc extensions would just be a bad idea.
