disable recent list of words in "search"

is there a way to disable textpad from maintaining the list of recently searched word in the dropdown box in "search" or even the recent list of files opened...

There may be a registry hack to set the list of stored search strings to zero, but I don't know what that would be.

To change the number of previous files listed in the File menu: <br>
Configure > Preferences > File<br>
The first two fields control the number of remembered files and workspaces.

yah, that was what i thought, wondering what keys to create to turn off that.. anyone has got any idea?
