deconstructing a website

Post by Mackie »

I want to deconstruct www.feetnet.com, I have already removed the images onto folders, how do I do the text? This must be done manually. No programs. And how do I see my progress of the site once I have removed the items. Please help asap!

deconstruction can be done many ways.
one being to simply tear all the pieces off one by one and eliminating them somehow, try the recycle bin.
or by undoing what you did to construct it.

either way the site will ultimately be deconsructed,
if on the other hand your desire is to reconstruct the site.
then you can try repeating what you did to construct it the first time.

if you've lost all the info and would like to gather it all back into one place,
try using something like [File/Save as...] for each of the pages.
a faster way would be a syncroniser in your browser to retrieve the page with depth. This will dig the pages out that are linked to from the current page.
if there are no outside links in the entire site then you'd be safe to go for a 2 or even 3 page depth. However if the is an outside link even if it's a little tiny small one. best bet would be to go for only 1 page depth. I am reffering to something akin to IE which can save pages viewed to be viewable offline. and then grabbing the offline data.

hope this wasen't too helpful :)
