"Colouring" comments within comments correctly

I am using Paul Söderlind's syntax file for the matrix-programming language GAUSS. Gauss allows comments within comments using /* */ to begin and end a comment respectively.

For example:

/* In Gauss this section is a comment, /* and this is a comment within a comment,*/ but in textpad the font colour for this last part of the WHOLE comment is not correct */

Textpad prematurely 'ends' the entire comment font colour once it comes across the first */, in the middle of the sentence.
