TextPad freezes on W2K(SP2)
I installed TextPad 4.5 on W2K Server(SP2) and opened up a file. The program freezes. Has anybody seen this? Thanks.

Hi,
I also use W2K (Version 5.2.2195) with service pack 2. When I open a file from windows explorer by right clicking and chosing texpad from the popup menu, explorer hangs and texpad does not open. It is quite annoying.
I have no problem when opening straight from Textpad or opening an associated file to Textpad eg. a text file from windows explorer by double clicking.

Yes, I too hit this, it is a real pain.
It happen each time I have Java debugger running on the machine. Not sure why this should cause TextPad to fail?

I had a similar problem, but not only TestPad, but also some other programs were hung for several minutes when trying to start them. Problem occurred not always, but intermittently.
In my case, I found out that the SoundBlaster PCI 128K Driver for W2K was faulty
The hang disappeared after installing an updated SoundBlaster Driver.
