Text Not in color..please help
Dear sir/ madam. recently ater reinstalling textpad, the java programs i write only appear in black text, wheras before they would be colour coded. Ive checked all the preferences but they are still all correct. Also the programs still compile and run correctly. Please could u help me restore all the colour coded text. thanky for ur time....

Make certain that you have a document class for the java files defined.
Using TextPad 4.5 (or any 4.x version, I believe) you can go to Configure|Preferences and you should see under "Document Classes" a choice for Java files, which will have *.JAV and *.JAVA files associated with it. By default, you should also have java.syn defined as the SYntac highlighting file. If you don't see this, make certain it is in the syntax folder (which is defined under Folders in the preferences). You should be able to download an updated version of the java syntax files from the add-ons page here if you can't find the correct one.
