At one time TextPad would appear in the list when I right-clicked on a file in Windows Explorer.
TextPad now only appears as a sub-choice in "Send To" and "Open With".
Is there a way to get it to appear as a main choice on the right-click menu?
Thanks for any help.

Re: add TextPad to right-click menu
You didn't say which version of TextPad you are using but in my TextPad 4.5 I can turn this feature on and off by checking "Context menu" under Preferences | General.
Re: add TextPad to right-click menu
I'm working in a shop that has TP version 4.1.04 installed on WinNT 4.0 workstations, and I also want to activate having TextPad in the right click menu. However when I choose to check "context menu" and "apply" I get an error message about access denied, for :
\software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Shell Extensions\Approved\
In this environment things have been setup to restrict user accounts from use of the regular Windows registry tools, I suspect this must be something to do with this error message. I have a third party registry editing tool that I could use instead. Does somebody have the details of exactly what TextPad is trying to do when checking "context menu", or maybe a before and after of the registry keys of importance?
Thanks.
