Disable "beep"

is it possible to disable the "beep" sound in textpad?
I want a silent Textpad

Have you tried this:
Configure/Preferences/View
Topmost entry on righthand side is: Audible alerts
If you uncheck it TP should be silent.

That still doesn't make my TP silent. Every now and then I get a LOUD beep which is quite annoying when the beep is coming through headphones. I always try to set PC Speaker to "mute" from Windows' volume control...usually I remember to do that after the first beep.

The beep occurs quite randomly e.g. when moving inside document with arrow-buttons.
