TP v4.5 - Netscape v4.78
"View in Web Browser"
This function worked A-OK until recently. The only change I've made is to add a compiler/decompiler to the "Tools" menu. I've no problem going into the Registry for tweaking.
###
Settings:
Preferences > Folders > WWW IP address - http://127.0.0.1
Preferences > Folders > WWW root folder - c:\web
Preferences > Document Classes > Default > View in web browser is checked
Preferences > Document Classes > HTML > View in web browser is checked
###
Using "View in Web Browser" will open Netscape (if it's not already open), but not the file - this is what I get:
Address bar - "http://127.0.0.1/index.htm"
Status bar - "Connect: Contacting host: http://127.0.0.1"
After a minute, it times out with this message:
"There was no response. The server could be down or is not responding.
If you are unable to connect again later, contact the server's administrator."
Netscape is associated with the .htm extension, and Windows Explorer and PowerDesk do open files in Netscape.

Re: View in Web Browser - NG - REINSTALLED!
Hi Andreas,
I figured it was either TextPad, the system (DDE service) or Netscape, and started by doing a full reinstall of TextPad...problem solved, though unfortunately I may never know exactly what the problem was. I've got before and after of the registry key [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Helios], and if I get some time will try to find the differences, meanwhile back to work!
Thanks for the feedback,
Phil
