Viewing Expressions
I am using Textpad 4.50. When viewing a file, I can't seem to be able to see the carriage returns or new line chars. I have activated the paragraph option and have explored the preferences, to no avail. The paragraph tags are displayed but nothing else. When opening the same file, different P.C., using Textpad 3.25, the special chars are displayed. Any advice?
Re: Viewing Expressions
Configure/Preferences/VIew
last few entries say which characters are displayed if the funny reverse P in the toolbar is pressed (same as View/Visible Spaces)

Re: Viewing Expressions
Clarification:
I had selected all the combinations in the Configure/Preferences/View already. It still doesn't show anything other than the paragragh tag (reverse P).

Re: Viewing Expressions
It probably doesn't help you, but I have no problem with v4.50 - ie its not a general problem - I'm using Wn98.
Re: Viewing Expressions
Is your text background set to gray? If so, then you might have trouble seeing the unprintable characters which TextPad shows in gray. Also, you might see if there are any settings for teh Text document class & syntax highlighting that might cause a similar problem.

Re: Viewing Expressions
My 450, the dot(s) for space(s) I nearly have to get out a magnifying glass in order to see them. They are too teency, they are grey, light grey on my white background screen.
I think we should all request for them to be larger.

Re: Viewing Expressions
I have a very light grey window background, and I set up visible spaces to be red on white background, this way they stand out quite clearly.
To do so: Configure/Preferences/Document Classes/Your Document Class/Colors
Select Visible spaces from list and apply colors as you like them.
