Opening files w/ line length greater than 200

I am having problems opening files with a line length that is greater than 200 characters. Any help would be greatly appreciated. What it does is cuts off the line and appends it to the end of the file.

I never had this problem.
I can open files with more than 60 thousand characters in one line without any problem.

Which version of Textpad do you use? On which system?
