All fonts disappeared

All fonts disappeared from Textpad 4.50 32 bit english version on Win ME.

Immediately after copying a table & text around it from a word 2000 doc. so i assume that is what caused it.

when click configure, preferences, doc classes, default, font, all the choices are blank. & it gives the following err msg when try exit
"there is no font with that name.
choose a font from the list of fonts."

but can cancel out of it ok.

CLicking View, doc properties, font, shows choices of:
courier, fixedsys, ms san serif, ms serif, small fonts, symbol, system, terminal & nothing else.

have examined the last modified dates on all my textpad stuff to see if what file changed. but cant find anything.
the following files are all days & weeks old:
custom.bnd
u1033.tlx
all macros & clipLibs
all files in C:\Program Files\TextPad 4


would it be in registry? how would i fix? do i have to uninstall & reinstall? If so, wouldn't it be easier to do a system restore (i have windows ME & havent installed anything new in the last few days).

i will reboot & see if that fixes it. why not?
