Double clicking highlights too much

in v4.4.2 I have found that if there is a space to the left of a word textpad will hightlight all characters to the left of and including the word.
SELECT MAX(time_key)

double clicking on max in the previous line would actually select everything to the left, including the word max.

has anybody else seen this?

it only seems to happen when two words defined in my .syn file are next to each other with a ( at the end.

if i put a space between the words and the ( it works fine.

go figure
