Currently I think the Document Selector is too limited. I don't see it providing much more functionality then the Document Tabs. And what I really would like in it is the ability to create a tree view in it. Pretty much like the Document Selector in Visual C++ ide. And have the workspace save the treeview created.
If nothing else, at least put in a folder/file tree view browser, so one can use the file system for organization of open files, then all you would have to do is enumerate the folders, rather then creating custom workspace tree views as requested above.
I agree! A tree view would be a great enhancement. I understand that Alt-F3 will bring up an Explorer in the working directory, but I don't like having overlapping windows so I don't currently use it.
Differentiation between workspace/non-workspace files in the tree view would be a welcome extra.
