Anytime I type I "www.website.com" it makes the line look blank (making both the background and foreground the same color). If I highlight it I can see that it's there. And it never did that in the 30 years I've used TextPad? On my second (older) computer, I compared all the color settings and they are the same but it does NOT give me that problem? The other computer is an older Surface PC, My current new PC is a Surface 13. I currently paid and licensed (V.9.9.2) TextPad on this new computer about 10 days ago.
Is this a new problem? Is there an easy solution? I apologize if this issue is already posted --- I couldn't find it.

I know you have checked the colour settings but can you describe or show what you actually see in the file properties under colors and URL?
Colours can be set for each document class but you can also right click and select properties.
