Save Preference Changes (restated)

Post by gcotterl »

Clearer description of my previously-submitted "Save Preference Changes" question.

Configuration
Preferences
Document Class
Default
Colors

What item(s) do I need to click on so the line(s) containing the results of Search/Find are displayed in aqua?

Do I change the “Foreground and/or “Background colors?

As MudGuard explained in your other thread, in
Configure | Preferences | Document Classes | Default | Colors,
choose Selected Text and/or Selected Text (no focus).
Set the foreground and background colours however you'd like them.
The third sample in the top right of the dialog box will show you the result.

Have you set
Configure | Preferences | Document Classes | Default | Apply these settings to all document classes ?

I followed your directions (for the Selected Text and/or Selected Text (no focus) items and for "Apply these settings to all document classes") but the color of the lines containing the "Find" results did NOT change

I'm afraid I have no ideas. It works here.

Note that those colours are applied just to a single instance of the found text, not the line containing it, and not all instances.

For CURRENT LINE, I've:
changed the "FOREGROUND" color to white
changed the "BACKGROUND" color to light green.
clicked "APPLY"

For SELECTED TEXT, I've:
changed the "FOREGROUND" color to white
changed the "BACKGROUND" color to aqua
clicked "APPLY"

For SELECTED TEXT (NO FOCUS), I've:
changed the "FOREGROUND" color to white
changed the"BACKGROUND" color to aqua
clicked "APPLY"

Clicked "APPLY THESE SETTINGS TO ALL DOCUMENT CLASSES"

ALL COLORS ARE NOW CORRECT!

THANK YOU!
