This looks like a bug. - create utf-8 spelling dictionary

Post by Mike Olds »

Hello,

EDIT: This looks like a bug to me. I did this: I selected a word in a document which had a unicode character in it. When it came up mispelled, I added it to the dictionary. Then I changed the spelling of the word. It came up as mispelled, but the suggested change came up without the diacritic.

This looks like a problem similar to that of the clip-books.

Apologies for including this as a question in HOW TO. Mods please delete. Thanks Amigo for the heads up.

This may be a bug.

I have searched the topic; it said to check Configure > Preferences > Spelling
which I did.

I selected New and added the name Pali which apparently created the Dictionary, but it is, of course, empty.

Then I went to Edit > Import > Browse > paliwordlist.txt
and got WARNING contains characters that do not exist in code page 1258 (ANSI/OEM - Viet Nam) !!! They will be converted ...

So the question is: How do I create a new spellcheck dictionary for Unicode characters from a list in a .txt file.
Thank you, and
Best Wishes,
Obo
