Upgrading 8.0.2 to 8.1.2 damages menu

8.0.2 64 bit to 8.1.2 64 bit, both German edition

The menu for macros is wiped out. There was a message after first using the updated textpad, but I ignored it (my fault).

(1) But why it is not possible to maintain macros? I had several and now I have to introduce them again.
(2) How to deal with this situation? I. E. what I have to do, if I receive this message?
(3) It would be great, if messages / error messages etc. are logged somewhere.
