in some Find in Files searches, I get tons of warnings (Could not open file, Line too long, ...) and a handful of search hits.
It is then very hard to find the hits ...
I suggest an option (so users who want the current behaviour can keep it) for routing the warnings during find in files into the Tool Output window and only the search hits into the Search Results window.
The checkbox for it could be placed in the Find in Files dialog, so users can easily switch it for each search as needed.
Search warnings into Tool Output instead of Search Results

Re: Search warnings into Tool Output instead of Search Resul
I second this request. Why do the "line was split" warnings need to be reported to the user at all? Why would I care if any lines were split during a Find in Files operation? Was this a developer's debugging message that should not have been deployed?
I just clicked the Cancel button 30 times and finally cancelled a Find in Files operation. In the results I got 10k hits on my search string and 256k lines of meaningless split line warnings. Those lines ruin the results and slow the operation. I have many files with this issue so now I gotta find another Find in Files tool.
