Quick question on word count.

Hello all, I haven't used textpad in years but recently have been starting to use it more for some projects I am working on.

I could have swore that when I used it before I had a word count showing up on the bottom of the window, but I cannot figure out how to get that showing up again, if it's possible. I did a quick search here and on google and wasn't able to find anything.

Is there a way I can have a live word count somewhere?

I think you're mistaken. The only way to get a word count in TextPad is through the document properties dialog (View > Document Properties).

You can also press Ctrl+F1 to view the file statistics in the status bar, which includes the number of bytes and lines, but not words, and it disappears as soon as you press another key.
