W7 doesn't show TP8 has open files

I have TP8.0.1 pinned to the W7 taskbar. When I have files open, it doesn't look any different on the taskbar than when it is closed. It should look raised like a button. Is there something I can do to fix this? (I upgraded from TP4, if that makes a difference.)
