Cannot set URL to blue

Post by terrypin »

I haven't grasped how to restore the standard blue text I had in 4.7.3 for strings like these:

http://forums.textpad.com/viewforum.php?f=8

file://xxxxx

(And I don't know how to recover those settings.)

Steps 5 onwards in Help say:
5.Choose the item that you want to change the color of.
6.Select the required foreground and background colors.
7. Click OK or Apply.

'URL' already seems to be set to blue. So I'd expect that string example above to be blue, by default.
Yet even after selecting it and clicking OK, I still don't get blue text for a URL.

(Note: As you see, I did successfully change the colours for Selected Text (no focus) after help here a couple of days ago thanks.)

For anyone else who ends up here with a similar query, here's the solution I obtained from Support:

Configure > Preferences > Document Classes> Text > Syntax. Enable syntax highlighting. Select txt.syn from the drop down list. Click Apply/OK.
