When going through a complicated HTML or XML document it's helpful to be able to have highlighting matching tags. For example like what Notepad++ has or Bluefish. The user can toggle the feature on/off as needed.
Related: We still don't have automatic bracket matching. We got to press control-m. And have the ability to toggle the feature on/off for those who want the "classic" TextPad cntrl-m with a less cluttered look. But have the choice.
