Spell checking text with typographic apostrophe

When spell checking text that has the typographic apostrophe ’, the spell checker flags the word as mis-spelled. For example, the word it’s is flagged. I would like to see an option in the Spell Check options to treat this apostrophe as a normal apostrophe.
