Have recently started to get this error with only I tab open in Textpad, no other text program running etc. Win 7 64 bit no recent changes other than latest updates. Textpad 6.2.2 (32 bit)

It shows, access problem of file I am working on.

I note a few others posting on other forums something similar but no suggestions that I could find or hint why.

Not sure if this will help, but please try implementing the following procedure in TextPad:

From the Configure menu choose:

1. Preferences
2. File
3. Under the heading "When files are modified by another process", check "Ignore"
4. Click Apply / OK.
