Find in files not working correctly in 5.4.2

searching *.tcl and *.sql files (both text only)

As a test, I opened a Tcl file in TextPad, and ensured that my search navigation was correct by pasting it from the properties window of my open file (from within TextPad). Result => Cannot find literal text: Note that there are namespaces, so there exist ::'s in the search string. I have, of course, tried various incarnations of the search string....

Selected in find in files gui are Text, All matching lines and Search subfolders (selecting Match case does not provide different result).

I have been using TextPad for years coding Tcl, and have not had this problem. Of course, it came at an unfortunate time - i needed those files.

While I do have a license, the instance of TextPad running currently does not have one since our company has yet to recognize that we already have the license and remove the block from providing same.
