Replace dialog missing

Post by Parkrat »

I'm having an odd problem with TextPad. The Replace dialog isn't displayed when I hit F8 or SEARCH->REPLACE. Nothing happens. FIND works OK and displays it's dialog.

Just updated from 5.3.x to 5.4.2 to see if that fixed the problem. It didn't. Nor did renaming config.xml.

Running on Windows 7, 64 bit.

Any help will be appreciated.

Thanks,
Paul

Hello, No real help, but we are seeing and I have seen myself a number of issues with Windows 7 64bit. Probably the quickest solution would be to uninstall and reinstall. If you want to fool around first, if you have something like Norton Utilities, clean the registry. Reboot several times. Open and close Textpad several times.
Thank you, and
Best Wishes,

Could the Replace dialog have somehow moved outside the screen boundaries? If so, this thread may help.

Solved

Thanks ak47wong. That was it. The replace dialog was on an extended desktop screen that wasn't turned on. Dragged it back to the main screen and all is well.
