Textpad sees disconnected drive when using expandrive win7

I'm configuring my new Windows 7 box and having no problems except this one so far.

Expandrive sets up a secure ftp connection that windows explorer and everything else I check, sees as a named mapped drive. Except for textpad 5.3. It sees "disconnected network drive" but when I click on it, opens the drive and shows me the files.

It wouldn't be so bad except that I've usually got four or five of these things opened at one time and I'm using them all, and I've gotten a little dependent on seeing the label name so I can tell them apart. Which drives I've got open depends on which end users I'm dealing with and which systems are misbehaving. This problem is slowing me down and causing some frustration.

Why would Windows explorer see the drives just fine but textpad can't seem to give me the drive name, and is there anything at all I can do about it?
