Syntax file for Visual Basic

Post by Ryck »

I'd like to see a syntax file for Microsoft Visual Basic. I'm surprised there isn't one.

I guess for all of them ...

Visual Basic Script
Visual Basic Express
And, of course, the main compiler product: Visual Basic

I believe that as you go up the family tree the higher level language has more verbs, nouns, and syntax structure. So I guess a syntax file for Visual Basic Script would be the minimum I'd like to have.

Perhaps no-one is prepared to admit they use Visual Basic. I tried it once; it made me ill.

LOL

I think behind every C++ programmer for the Windows platform there is a Visual Basic programmer busting to come out. :)

Maybe I'll take a shot at it myself. It will be an interesting experiment.

I count 7 Syntax files for VB.NET, 5 for Visual Basic, 3 for VB Script.
I am surprised you didn't see any of them ...

All these 15 VB syntax files are available on this website under
